## Glass reinforcement for demanding applications

As one of North America’s largest weavers of glass fabrics, JPS manufactures reinforcement fabrics for printed circuit board laminates, aerospace structures, power generation, insulation, and industrial applications. E-glass, S-2 Glass®, and low-loss glass offer different combinations of mechanical strength, thermal stability, and electrical performance. Fabric construction and finishing options help match the material to your process and resin system.

## Glass fabric properties

### Electrical insulation

Glass fabrics provide dielectric strength and electrical resistivity for electronic and industrial systems.

### Dimensional stability

Woven glass resists shrinking and stretching, supporting consistent reinforcement and laminate construction.

### Structural reinforcement

Strength, stiffness, and low weight support aerospace structures and a broad range of composite components.

### Thermal performance

Heat resistance and thermal stability make glass fabrics useful in insulation and demanding processing environments.

## Select the glass for your application

### E-Glass

Woven E-glass provides a balance of strength, stiffness, and cost for composite reinforcement and electrical insulation.

- Printed circuit board and copper-clad laminates
- Aerospace primary and secondary structures
- Power generation, insulation, and industrial composites

### S-2 Glass®

S-2 Glass® has a higher silica content and offers greater tensile strength and elastic modulus than E-glass. It supports applications with more demanding mechanical requirements.

- High-strength aerospace and structural composites
- Cargo liners, gaskets, and aircraft interior components
- Plain, basket, leno, and eight-harness satin weaves

### Low-loss glass and finishes

JPS also offers T-glass and low-loss L-glass fabrics. Material selection, weave geometry, and finishing can be tailored to electrical performance and resin compatibility.

- Glass options for high-frequency electronic applications
- Fabric styles, weights, and thicknesses in the fabric directory
- Finishing options matched to the customer’s resin system
