Preparation Employees (Twisters and Slashers)
Our products begin with a very fine material. However, through a series of very important steps, it becomes an incredibly desirable product that meets our customer’s needs. Twisters and Slashers must be quick on their feet and have a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail as they take many strands and make them into one! These roles are often a starting point for other opportunities within our operations, and they must run effectively to help as the product flows through our facilities.
Weavers
Weavers take the composite materials that come out of our preparation department and manage a large batch of looms running at a high rate of speed. Weavers must have strong technical knowledge, an ability to multitask, and communicate effectively with co-workers and Supervisors. Weaving is a very important role as it is where the fabric of our product begins.
Loom Maintenance Technicians
LMTs are trained as Weavers at JPS before they begin their Maintenance-related training. This gives LMTs an excellent insight into how weaving machinery should run and gives them a unique perspective on troubleshooting equipment. LMTs often partner with other employees when a loom isn’t running as efficiently as possible and help solve intricate problems.
